I just purchased this set (January 2025) as I slowly aim to reduce my exposure to toxins in my kitchen. After the recent studies confirmed that plastic utensils contain forever chemicals I ditched the last few plastic spatulas and strainers and got only stainless steel.
I already love several things about this set.
* balanced weight - feels solid but not overly heavy
* beautifully designed
* complete - all utensils I will every need are included
* Viking brand - feels and looks upscale
* high quality stainless steel
There is one other item that was important to me - and this is a personal preference. This Viking utensil set does not have silicone or rubber or thick ends on the handles. Nothing drives me more crazy than quickly reaching for a utensil and having all of them fly out of the holder. :|
