I have owned the whole set in the past and after divorce, when my budget was tight, I purchased just the large stock pot.
Two years later, the pot is serving me very well! Love the easy clean up (always by hand). Beyond using the pot for cooking larger volumes of pasta or soup, I found it extremely handy for frying or searing. The high sides mean that not only the oil stays hot easily, but there is no oil splatter which makes the whole process of cleaning my kitchen way, way easier. I wish I had thought of that earlier!
I also appreciate the bright color that I chose - it makes cooking more fun!
